At Legally Protected, we believe firearm education starts with safety first. Our Youth Firearm Safety Class is designed to introduce kids and teens to the principles of responsible firearm handling in a safe, supportive, and age-appropriate environment.

- Cost: $100 per student - 1 parent free (additional $50 per sibling or parent)
- Includes: Classroom instruction, training aids, safety gear, optional live-fire
- Parent Requirement: 1 Parent/guardian attendance required
Course Overview
This class focuses on firearm safety, awareness, and respect, rather than shooting proficiency. Students will learn the essential skills to keep themselves and others safe around firearms — whether at home, at a friend’s house, or in the community.
Who This Class Is For
Youth ages 10–17 (with a parent/guardian present)
Families who want to instill safety and responsibility early on
Parents who own firearms and want their children to be properly educated
Young shooters preparing to advance into competitive or recreational training
Course Cost
$100 for one child | $50 each additional child
(Example: 2 kids = $150, 3 kids = $200)
Parent Attendance: 1 parent may attend at no extra cost. Additional parent fee: $50.
Optional Day 2: Live-Fire Shooting Experience
Students and parents who choose to participate will pay an additional $50 range fee per person (due prior to shooting).
The range fee includes:
Pistol lane rental
Firearm and ammunition
Target
- Eye & ear protection (yours to keep)

We encourage parents and guardians to participate in this class alongside their child. Firearm safety works best when the entire family understands the same rules and practices.

Course Overview
Through engaging discussion, hands-on demonstrations, and guided activities, participants will gain a clear understanding of:
The 4 universal safety rules every gun owner must know
How to identify safe vs. unsafe situations
What to do if they ever come across an unsecured firearm
Basic parts of common firearms and how they work
Safe storage practices for families
Age-appropriate introduction to live-fire (optional, based on parent preference)
