Permit Overview
The Utah Concealed Firearm Permit covers over 30 states and is available to both residents and not residents. This license is issued by the Buereu of Criminal Identification. The application process requires applicants to complete a firearms training course and undergo a background check to ensure responsible gun ownership and public safety.
Steps to Get a Permit to Carry in Utah
- Complete a Utah BCI-approved firearms training course. View our Utah Concealed Carry classes or one of our packages that includes the Utah Concealed Firearm Permit.
- Get fingerprinted. Complete FD-258 Fingerprint Ink Card.
- Complete application provided by instructor.
- Mail application, photocopy of driver’s license, passport-quality photograph, and fingerprint card to the address below.
